It began innocently, with what seemed like a simple cold. A sickness so ordinary that every child experiences it multiple times a year. But for Maksym, this seemingly harmless illness refused to fade. It lingered, returning again and again, until one October morning our world was shattered. On October 21st, doctors delivered the diagnosis that would change everything: leukemia.
At that moment, time itself seemed to stop. The cozy rhythms of home—the laughter, the carefree days, the small joys of childhood—vanished. In their place came hospital walls, constant tests, injections, and the unrelenting fear of a life hanging by a fragile thread. Our little boy, only a few weeks ago playing and laughing like any other child, was now in a battle for survival. There was no time to grieve; every moment was a fight. Every second mattered.
The uncertainty was crushing. In our country, options were limited, and Maksym’s condition demanded specialized treatment far beyond what was available locally. It was clear: if he was to survive, we would have to take him abroad, to a country with advanced medicine, modern therapies, and doctors who could provide him a real chance. That country was Turkey. There, physicians believed in Maksym’s possibility to overcome leukemia—but there was a steep price for hope.

The cost of treatment is staggering. Hundreds of thousands of dollars stand between our son and the life he deserves. We are parents, not financiers. We have never faced a challenge like this. We have tried everything in our power, yet even our best efforts cannot bridge the gap. And so, with hearts heavy but hope still burning, we reach out. This is our only chance. We must gather support, and we must do it quickly, for Maksym’s life cannot wait.
Every day is a struggle, but our son continues to fight with courage beyond his years. Behind his small frame is a spirit that refuses to yield, a bravery that humbles all who witness it. Even amid needles, hospital lights, and the endless hum of machines, Maksym’s eyes shine with life. He is not defined by his illness—he is defined by his will to live, by the joy he has always carried, and by the love of his family that surrounds him.

We remember ordinary days before the diagnosis—simple walks, playful moments, the comfort of bedtime stories. Now, each of those memories is precious, a reminder of what is at stake and what we are fighting to restore. Childhood should be full of wonder, curiosity, and laughter, not fear and hospital routines. Every treatment Maksym endures, every medication, every procedure is a step toward reclaiming that stolen innocence.
Yet the reality is daunting. The therapy he requires is expensive, and without help, the door to survival could close. Time is slipping away, and the urgency is unbearable. For Maksym, every day lost is a chance lost—a chance to grow, to laugh, to simply be a child. And so we stand, desperate and determined, asking the world to step in where we cannot alone. Each donation, each word of support, each act of kindness is a lifeline. It is a bridge from despair to hope, from fear to possibility.

This is more than a plea for money; it is a plea for life. It is a request for time—time for Maksym to breathe freely, to play, to learn, to experience the ordinary and extraordinary joys of being a child. It is a call to join a fight that no parent should ever face alone but one that the generosity of others can make winnable.
Maksym is our greatest treasure. He is a little boy with a world of potential ahead of him, a heart full of courage, and a family who will never give up. With your help, we can ensure that this fight is not in vain. With your support, Maksym can survive, recover, and continue to live a life that all children deserve—a life of hope, laughter, and love.

Please help us save Maksym. Every act of kindness matters. Every moment counts. Time is short, but together, we can give our son the chance to live the life that was meant for him.
