Time Is Not on His Side — Help Save a Little Fighter

There are no words to express the pain of watching a child struggle for life. Our beloved son, Miłoszek, was just seven months old, yet his life had already been filled with unimaginable challenges. Born with a complex heart defect, including pulmonary hypertension, he entered the world vulnerable, fragile, and fighting from his very first breath.

Miłoszek’s journey began with early signs of struggle. Apneas—pauses in breathing—appeared soon after birth. By his fourth week of life, doctors diagnosed him with a rare and severe heart defect. The prognosis was grim. His first surgery, critical for survival, should have occurred within the first week of life. Instead, delays meant that he was admitted to the hospital at the last possible moment, when every second counted. His chances of survival were slim, yet against all odds, Miłoszek fought.

After surviving the initial crisis, complications emerged. Additional defects were discovered, revealing the full complexity of his condition. Each day brought new challenges. His small body, already fragile from birth, struggled to cope, especially during hot weather. His energy waned, his tiny frame grew weaker, and the apneas returned, threatening every moment of his life.

Following discharge from the hospital, doctors recommended palliative treatment. It was a devastating suggestion, a word that implied acceptance of a fate no parent could bear. But we refuse to give up on our son. We know that treatments abroad have offered hope to children like Miłoszek, turning dire diagnoses into stories of survival. We reached out urgently to the Stanford Clinic in the United States, where specialists responded positively to his case.

The costs, however, are enormous. Life-saving treatment and surgery at Stanford are estimated at 1,500,000 złoty. This is far beyond what we could manage alone, yet every day that passes without intervention puts Miłoszek’s fragile life at greater risk. We cannot wait. Time is not on his side. Each moment counts, and delays could have devastating consequences for his heart, his lungs, and his survival.

Miłoszek’s story is one of courage far beyond his months of life. Despite his tiny size and the relentless challenges his body has faced, he has shown extraordinary resilience. Every breath, every heartbeat, every struggle is a testament to his strength and will to live. He deserves a chance to grow, to laugh, to feel the warmth of his family, and to experience a childhood free from constant fear and medical interventions.

We are reaching out to ask for your help. Your support can give Miłoszek access to specialized surgery and treatment abroad—a chance to live a life he otherwise might never have had. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings him closer to the care he urgently needs. Every act of generosity is a lifeline for our little boy.

As parents, we are determined to fight for him with every ounce of our being. We will not surrender to statistics, medical limitations, or the weight of finances. Miłoszek’s life is precious, and every heartbeat deserves a chance. With your help, we can provide the specialized medical care that could save him, offering hope where the odds seem impossible.

Miłoszek’s journey has already been filled with fear, uncertainty, and incredible challenges. But it has also been marked by bravery, resilience, and the unwavering love of a family that refuses to give up. Now, with your help, we hope to give him something priceless: the chance to survive, thrive, and experience the joys of childhood that he so richly deserves.
